Having said that, Clichy wasn't shy in getting forward considering his side wasn't particularly weakened by the red card and he made a few decent challenges. We don't really have a Milner for that side though.BlueMoon_1987 said:Quite the partnership he's establishing with Zabaleta down that right hand flank now. Immense performance today, he seemed to relish the responsibility of covering and creating against Arsenal. Most underrated midfielder in the squad. Brilliant.

I thought Clichy had a belter of a game today too. More of a 'fuck you' to the heckling Gooners. Good on him.
Great post this, I think it's spot on, Milner also links up so well with Silva, and what a great goal, I think he has given us the wide option that we have missed for so long, great performance today, my man of the match
To the proponents of putting Milner in the middle - where are we going to get the quality balls that Milner provides from the flanks? IMO when Milner was out that was precisely what we were missing and why our strikers were struggling for goals, we were doing EVERYTHING through the middle. Milner provides an outlet out wide that no other player in the squad can do. Keep him out wide.
