James Milner

With all the complaining about squad depth (i agree with btw), Milner is exactly the type of squad player we need to keep. He DOES offer depth in the squad. He can replace any of the wide men and do a very good job.

If he doesn't play against Barca then I wonder what he has done wrong as Wigan was surely a must start for him if we are rotating wisely.

If he doesn't start Wednesday then surely he has to start against Hull.

For me he is a great away day performer as he works hard and covers a huge amount of ground. I think he would have started (instead of Kolarov) if he wasn't suspended at home to Barca and I'd say he'll start against Barca as i imagine we will player a similar game to the home leg.

He is also a very different player when Silva plays as they seem to be on the same wavelength.

Another solid performance yesterday. The page count on this thread shows just how underrated this guy is. Hope he stays and gets more opportunities to show what he can do.

He certainly seems to have been working on his step overs because he made a few of those Fulham players yesterday look like right cunts.

The Jimmy Shuffle was mesmerizing right before Negredo's chance

for the england squad he should definitely be starting over cleverley and lampard ( if he goes to WC)
