James Milner

Milner, the only person in the team that can play RW, RB, Mid, LB in one game which was against Chelsea. He is peaking this season and he's showing why he deserves to be in the starting xi. Last season when nasri got injured against Newcastle, he was playing really good. Nasri was fit again and Milner got benched. I hope this doesn't happen this season otherwise he deserves to leave. Good on you jimmy, I hope you stay and always start cause I know you have more to show and F nasri lol

He is playing well I believe due to playing regularly now. I am sure his confidence levels are up and the fact that Nasri is injured has assisted in him getting more game time. He was superb against Chelsea. I agree, hopefully he signs. A top pro.

Agree with this. Not only does he come up big in the big matches (Liverpool and Bayern last year to add to Chelsea this year), his perennial high work rate can be something of an antidote to the complacency or lethargy that sometimes sets in against lesser sides.

'50 caps for James Milner...does that show the sorry state of English football?'

Durham's latest effort.

He has a point, look at the latest England squad it would get trounced by Spurs never mind City. John Stones was on the verge of a England call up after 3 games.

I realise we don't have the best International team but why bring Jimmy's contribution into it? why not just have a discussion on 'the sorry state' and subsequently discuss the fact we are introducing players who,by previous standard, arent of the required international standard?

Jimmy is a fantastic option for club and country,i don't begrudge him any one of those 50.

Jimmy Milner is a fucking quality footballer. His game intelligence far exceeds that of anybody else in that England setup.

No, but every single cap that Cleverly has ever been given does tell a tale.

spot fucking on.

Milner has been our most consistent and best player so far this season. In fact he started this run of form in the last ten games last season. These days most England fans are happy-clappies who know nothing about football. They are the same people who decried Gareth Barry..the man who laid the foundations for out first Premier title.
