I don't believe we will discard him however he's young and ambitious, 4 years left on his contract, but does that matter? we seem to allow players to leave if that is the wish of the player.

He is very ambitious and I think would leave quickly if he cannot see a pathway towards the first team.
Next season I think he would be ok with a loan to a decent Championship club but after that will probably want to play in the Premier League as first choice.

Bazunu was apparently for 12m, and Trafford is for 19m. Not that I have watched either of the two keepers, I thought Bazunu was a better prospect. Anyway, someone is trying to win the net spend trophy again.

Salah ran his pretty close too didn’t he? Or did he have a year left? ..I think the top players know they can do it, because they’ll have plenty of takers and they have advisors telling them what they could be getting paid etc. It’s part of the game now isn’t it, and I don’t think Gundo held the club to ransom as Salah/Mbappe did… he was probably tapped up by Barca, but he left with our blessing, albeit reluctantly.
