No better than Tommy Doyle
No better than Tommy Doyle
Just read some threads on a Southampton forum and they were not overly complimentary about him saying that he cannot take control of a midfield and doesn't pass forward as much as he should. They were a lot more positive about Lavia.
JWP would probably do better in a top half team but he is not up to our standard. I expect he will get a move to a decent mid table team. He would probably improve Klopp's midfield.

They're not an ice hockey team, FFS.I would improve Klopps midfield.
I can barely stand up on a pair of skates but I’d still be an improvement on henderson. They're not an ice hockey team, FFS.
"TAXI!!!!!!"
I love Tommy Doyle and I agree there's a top player in there but his set-piece's aren't "almost" as brilliant.Overall,i think Tommy can be the better player.
His set pieces are almost as brilliant and he has more irons in the fire where bossing a midfield is concerned.

Barely anyone in world football is almost as good at set pieces as JWP. and Doyle isn't one of them.
A decent set-piece taker? sure. Ward-Prowse is the best in the world.
