The exclusion of Muric and Mendy would solve the problem (Muric would be still eligible because of his age, right?).

Don't think he qualifies for the B list till next season (think they have to been with us 2/3 years for that?) - We could use Grimshaw as 3rd Choice as he's on the B list
 
Not so quiet at the moment - could we actually have an extremely productive winter window? - it's looking very much like we will (fingers crossed).

Getting Fred (to start next season) and Laporte in the winter window would be simply astonishing.

If we pull off both transfers it will be a huge coup - especially so since we'd have done these deals in the winter window.

Club owner, director, and manager - all rowing in the same direction, and all highly competent in their roles. End result - best transfer windows over the long haul among any top team (PSG's signing of Neymar, Mbappe and Alves topped our summer window certainly, but we massively upgraded in positions where we had major weaknesses).
 
If we sign laporte and fred this window does that just leave a c.f. for summer and jigsaw complete ?

Seems greedy with Laporte seemingly coming in, but it won't be long before we need another CB. Neither Mangala or Kompany are great to have in the squad now IMO - Mangala because he makes errors too regularly and Kompany because he's sadly rarely available to play. We could go the route of giving Tosin more gametime.

Eric Garcia and Joel Latibeaudiere have just turned 17 and 18 respectively, both are huge talents.

A forward, presumably. I’d be very surprised if anything happened before Wednesday though.
 
What about Ndombele? I think he was very impressive against PSG on Sunday last week. He is very fast, strong and a good passer and defender. Only 21 and has the potential to become a world class DM. He is almost 5 inches taller than Fred, so he should be a lot better in the air. The Lyon manager said that if they don`t reach CL, they would sell him and Fekir for as much as possible
