Ledleys contract was running out in 6 months time therefore we decided to get a fee for him rather than let the contract run down. And our record for strikers is abismal, we have signed 2 million pound strikers from abroad in the hope they might be any good but all have turned out average. Griffiths did very well at Hibs last season so I guess we went for someone who would hopefully guarantee goals at least in the SPL.

Yes they just decided this morning to go to Portugal and try to buy them, obviously didn't bother for the first 30 days.
