HIghlights for anyone who wants to see how he did.

In my opinion Ellis Plummer will learn more at St Mirren than Jason will at Celtic. Tried watching the game on Saturday, fuck me it must be boring being a Celtic fan. Hopefully if they get through to the CL group stages he will learn a thing or two

Isn't that the perfect development experience for a future city defender? He will have to concentrate for 90 mins especially when he is doing nothing, he will have the pressure of expecting to win every game.

After watching a replay of the game, I was impressed by Jason's composure on the ball and willingness to make darts into the opposition half. Given it was his first professional game, he acquitted himself very well.

I was also impressed by Van Dijk, the other central defender. He looks like a very good prospect.

I see what you mean, but surely at this age this is where they polish their defensive skills in live competitive situations?

Im just unsure after watching bits of the game on Saturday

Looks like he is going top play tomorrow night. Big test for him so soon after joining and a massive game for Celtics season. There is no doubt he will improve playing for celtic. We may not be bombarded every game from other teams but away games in the SPL are tough and he will need to be physically up for it. Adding to that he will be exposed to more counter attacking situations so will need to be able to read the game well. Playing next to Van Dijk should also do him well. Van Dijk is so composed and very good at most aspects of the game. If Denayer can bulk up to a similar level as him then he will start to find it easier.

Reports suggest an outstanding performance and a goal on his full debut. A nice supportive tweet from Vinnie too.

MotM award too which considering it was a dominant performance by Celtic speaks volumes when a CB gets the award. The Celtic fans I've spoken to up here were mightily impressed.
