I reckon Vinny has had a little word there as well.

It would be great if he got called up and partnered Vinny for Belgium.
 
Buzzing for this will be the first time Ive seen him. Gotta love the loan deals, a celtic match is now of interest to me
 
1 nil celtic. Lovely chip in to by someone called Johansen or something which led to the goal. Denayer looks a little nervous to me (no surprises there) but read the play well enough to take the ball of a striker who seemed to just peel off him
 
looks a bit nervous which is pretty understandable...but these experiences will only help !
 
1 all. Through ball which could have got to the man Denayer was trying to mark, who Denayer fouled, but the ball made it to the next man who Denayer's full back should have covered better, who made it 1 all. I think Denayer could have been off there had that ball not made it through to the other maribor player
 
Got away with one there, got wrong side and could easily of been sent off, but the referee played advantage as the other attacker scored. Lucky boy, that does seem to be the main problem with his game, getting too far up the pitch or letting people goal side of him. At youth level you can use your pace and strength to recover, but at the higher level he's going to have to realise that he can't take such risks.
 
Thought he was showing signs of starting to settle as was pretty composed with a few maribor players putting him under reasonable pressure, but there's a celtic midfielder keeps dropping very deep to pick up the ball off the centre halves an not a lot moving off him. He just had to tell Denayer to push on and move forward off him. Denayer just looked very nervous to me and not really in the game, hopefully he can settle in this second half
