Our staff retention in certain areas does raise questions - given our position and set up, buy hey, people move for all sorts of reasons..

one of the 'pitfalls' of being a very successful discoverer of talented people, is that some of the time those people want to give themselves a test when the employer would sometimes rather they stay in the role theyre good at! it's just the way it is sometimes. City will find more talented folk.

True - but few climb the ladder to Kirkland and Ellis, to then go to Slater and Gordon. But - yes, could just be testing pastures new.

Most likely promote from within but it wouldn’t do any harm to attract the best from outside the club, no reason why the whole set up can’t be taken to an even higher level with a different perspective and new set of eyes

Football's not quite the same when it comes to staff retention. A fast paced industry where people jump all the time depending on a number of factors. It's a promotion for him so a new challenge. The opportunity here doesn't currently exist for him.
