How good is he ?

Worse than De Jong but because he was at Real's academy and he's tall enough to fill in at centre back hes suddenly world class and worth £25m. As you can tell im not a fan of his at all.

De Rossi and Martinez can play as dm,box-box or even attacking midfielder .

I am hoping that Garcia will let us forget these two WC mifielders.

Plus he can play at centre back and did it very well for Bilbao. Garcia is not a 21 year old with bags of potential, hes not going to improve much and was not good enough to be kept on at Real. Bad, bad move if hes the player Mancini goes for. Imo we should just stick with what we've got for now and go back for De Rossi in jan or the summer or identify someone that is actually good enough to improve us.

I think we have Garcia deal in principle but Mancini will wait as long as possible to get De Rossi.

One last push for De Rossi tomorrow I think ( maybe he is lined up already ).

I hope so anyway, if we get Garcia, it is bad business if you ask me. Like I said earlier - wish we kept De Jong, Garcia is not that much or if at all an improvement on De Jong.

De Jong is a one-dimensional player. Defensively he is the best there is. But it's difficult to justify playing such a player when in 75% of City's games we are sat in front of 10 man defence

Two years ago he was essential, Now it's hard to justify playing him.

Maybe Rodwell has made a big impression on Mancini and he feels he can let him go

Only This. De Rossi is the only player that can improve our midifled and take us to a level where we could win the Champions League in my opinion.

I keep saying it on here, but if the price is right for Roma, they will sell. De Rossi is the one holding the loyalty whilst Roma hold no true loyalty to De Rossi as they can always move on,

I just hope City are going to do this so called 'desperation' on going all out on De Rossi now.

I for one is not ruling the move out.

Martinez is a much better player than Garcia though. Yes you are right Real, and other clubs like Barca let players go and it comes back to haunt them but Garcia was given a chance at Real in the 1st team and was deemed not good enough. The other players that left, Mata, Eto'o, Fabregas, Pique etc where youngsters who where picked up. Garcia had plenty of games at Real and Osasuna to prove he was good enough for Real but he wasnt and isnt good enough for us.
