What are people expecting from a defensive midfielder?
If he was a striker or attacking mid and he was not moving up and down the pitch, scoring goals or assisting etc then you have to right to he annoyed.
His job is the same as De Jong except Garcia will go up for set pieces. Keep the ball and move it around the pitch.

you clearly know fuck all about football or watching city. to criticize james milner on one game proves it. he's probably the most consistent player at the club. milner was class as usual today, garcia was shit as usual today.

People only seem to deal in superlatives nowadays. Players are either 'great' or 'shite', with little inbetween. Everyone wants their opinion noticed, and saying something mildly sensational is the easiest way to do that. Bit silly, really.
Garcia's been okay. Nothing more, nothing less. Not a hugely inspiring signing so far given the fee, but certainly not a bad player. Needs to improve if he's going to become a regular first choice. Probably will, but bottom line is you don't judge a player after four months.

I know quite a bit about football and watch City on a regular basis live. My opinion Milner is shite, plenty effort endeavour. Loads of misplaced passes, runs round. a lot not on same wavelength as Silva Nasri Aguero Tevez. Limited technical ability. But he's consistent alright
