Javi Garcia

People only seem to deal in superlatives nowadays. Players are either 'great' or 'shite', with little inbetween. Everyone wants their opinion noticed, and saying something mildly sensational is the easiest way to do that. Bit silly, really.

Garcia's been okay. Nothing more, nothing less. Not a hugely inspiring signing so far given the fee, but certainly not a bad player. Needs to improve if he's going to become a regular first choice. Probably will, but bottom line is you don't judge a player after four months.

Spot on. Nige's first few months after he joined in January had everyone moaning about him being shite, now everyone moans because we got rid and replaced him with Garcia. Patience.

I have a feeling he might get raped at Arsenal, torn apart, and with it the team too. Midfield battle being crucial next week, find any way at all to not play him.

I imagine he will play, but I'm not looking forwards to watching him.

How did he do? improving?

Average, even against the barely-there midfield of Watford. Got caught on the ball a couple of times, other time he make it obvious what he wants to do because he can only use his left to stand on.
That said, went in low and brave for a header and sprayed a couple of decent balls about.

i like the lad, good player just settling in, should bever start before jimmy or barry though.

Milner lol utter shite yesterday, at least Garcia can pass to somebody in the same coloured shirt

garcia will never ever be anywhere near as good as jimmy. not a chance.

Garbage. Apart from being an occasional threat from set pieces I really don't see what he brings..?

Nir Biton looked a better prospect FFS.

We need Milner and Barry to stay fit whilst Yaya's away otherwise it might all be over before he gets back.

Have some of us not learnt not to condemn a player from abroad on his first season? Sadly reading this thread it appears not

The guy's a plodder, and an average one at that. Not shite, not totally without ability amd a threat at set pieces, but nothing special and never will be.
