He definitely needs more time on the pitch before he can be fairly judged on what he brings to the team.
But lets not kid ourselves, he has been poor so far and the one thing I can't fathom is that he came with a reputation of being an absolute beast, with some journalists and fans even claiming him to be as hard in the tackle as NDJ. Now from what I've seen of his tackling, I think Nasri would be a more apt comparison than Nige. Other deficiencies he's shown so far (such as his uncanny ability of being able to trap the ball further than he can fucking kick it!!) I do believe will be ironed ut with more game time, but surely if he's this tough tackler we were led to believe he was then we would have already seen signs of it?
Spot on mate if he is a great player we would have seen signs of it by now, if he is a good player what was the point of buying him?

Frankly he looks completely out of his depth and scared of going anywhere near the ball, we definitely improved as a team after he went off - so why did we start with him?

he looked good against stoke on his debut and usually that is the benchmark for "soft foreigners"

always available for pass, great ball for zaba, could of been better if someone taller than zaba got on end of it, give him time, for a long time people failed to understand de jongs job in the team.

players get enough abuse from outside the club without us turning on them

16M! Will be lucky to get 5M back.
Nastacic aside, none of our buys were needed or up to scratch
Mancini pushed for the likes of Hazard, Martinez and RVP
Still, at least Mancini has an excuse but still failing badly with what he has at his disposal.
Welcome to Manchester Pep!!!!!!

Nobody's turning on the lad, just a conversation between blues where some are saying they don't think he's been a good signing. We needed a playmaker (eg De Rossi/Martinez) and he's nowhere near that class of player. He's a fairly limited plodder, and for the money we could have signed much better if that was what we were after (eg Fellaini). Some of you rate him and think he'll come good, and that's fair enough, but I just don't see it. The more I see of our new signings the worse the summer window becomes. Can we have someone with the technique and vision (and preferably a bit of pace) to take us to the next level next time please?

When fit, he will be a correct backup for Yaya against lesser caliber opposition.
Those expecting him to reach A-grade level are on for great disapointments though.

Looks way off the pace right now, but so did a certain Mr Silva at this point with us. He needs more time to adapt, I'm on the fence.
