Javi Garcia

Playing very well at the moment

His tackles/ball winning have directly led to goals in the last 2 games

He's again being linked with a move back to Real Madrid in Spain, second time this season there have been such reports.

With his progress in mind, if Real Madrid offered us our money back in summer would you take it and reinvest on another holding midfielder or reject it and keep faith in him?

Would need at least 25m for an upgrade. Keep him I say, the new Gareth Barry - underappreciated but integral.

Yeah I'd let him go. No idea what Real Madrid would want with him, though.

Because their manager knows a lot more about football than you?

christ I would hope so!

No shortage of CM's at that club, however.

Weren't they rumoured to want him as a replacement for Modric?

I'd let Garcia go if Madrid wanted him because I do think his lack of pace is an issue. However, I thought Garcia did a superb job against Chlesea and has been improving but he will always be slow.

The irony being a super fast defensive midfielder would be demanded to attack ("influence the game") and not fulfil the role at all.

The lack of pace is the issue, when play is stretched the opposition just breeze past him. The only way I'd keep him is if he's going to be the only very slow player in the team, no barry/Garcia combination unless we play a very very pacey back line and press high up the pitch.
