panic signing, awful player. Wouldn't give NDJ another £20,000 a week on a new contract, yet we spunked £90,000 a week and £16mill on this guy.

I've seen milk turn quicker, only city, ....only city.

NDJ wanted a lot more than an extra £20,000 a week. If he wanted to stay, he would still be here.

He's on £80,000 a week, he wanted to break the £100,000 mark.

That extra £20,000 is worth every penny.

He also wanted to be guaranteed more starting appearances and he was never going to get that.

He's now had a few games and tbh he just doesn't look to have either the skill, strength or pace to cut it at our club. We're probably going to have to take a big hit on any transfer fee but I can't see him going until the end of the season.
He was seen as someone who could fill in when Yaya isn't around during the ACON. We all know that he isn't good enough to do that and i'd definitely prefer James Milner, when fit, to slide into that position. At least with Jimmy you've got a little bit of pace, he can tackle, he moves forward with the ball and he's got bags of determination when it comes to rolling his sleeves up and getting some graft done, I just don't think we are going to get that with Garcia. I hope i'm wrong but I just can't see it, Booby I think your scouts might have sold you a dummy with this kid.
On a positive note, just watched the Aguerroooooooo goal again, and yes we are still Champions and we are 2nd in the Premier League even though we haven't been firing on all cylinders, roll on Sunday........ but please not with Garcia (on current form) anywhere near the squad.

but as you say, he can pass short. That's something to work with, a start. Not sure it's enough to justify 16m quid and a big contract mind you. Just a couple of other things to iron out.
Wasn't he man of the match for Benfica at Old Trafford last season? It sounds like he is capable of good performances, at least. He was considered an important player in a decent Benfica side. He'll always be slow of foot, but surely there's a decent player in there somewhere.

Do not like to slag City players off,but i am afraid with Garcia the lad is just not good enough in this City team.Perhaps like as been mentioned he played well for Benfica ,so perhaps there set up suited him.But going in to the derby you are not telling me that t~at down the road as not noticed it.One thing he as to do is toughnen up,he can't win a tackle and easily shrugged off the ball,to me he looks more concerned in is running tecnique.I hope i am proved wrong by him,but i doubt it.

I cannot believe how bad our summer dealings were.

If you are the best team in the Premier League and you want to go that next step to challenge Barca and Madrid you have to wait for the right player and then spend.

Who at the club thought Sinclair, Garcia, Maicon, Nastasic would catapult us to the next level?

SINCLAIR - Did ok at Swansea, hardly set the world on fire. Aston Villa type signing.
GARCIA - Doesnt even play for his country. Was playing in a league just as bad as Scotlands. Def the worst buy of the summer.
MAICON - Hes past it. Defensively he is awful. Attacking wise he still has a little to offer but not the world beater we need in our starting 11.
NASTASIC - We have got lucky here. Hes 19 so we would have thought about bedding him in bit by bit. He was a prospect more than a regular starter. Thank god one of these turned out ok.
RODWELL - I understand hes 21 and English so take a chance but so far hes brought nothing to the table. Will reserve judgement on him though as once injuries clear up and he matures he might be ok. Not looking good though.

Got to love the fact many on here are super scouts capable of judging players after so little time.

Some of the abuse he is getting on here is quite frankly shameful.

He's come from a completely new league had injury problems and people expect him to be amazing.
Don't come back with oh he doesn't have the fundamentals eg bottle because that is bollocks, watch games he played last season. He is just settling in slowly and needs time before anyone can really judge how good he is. If we get to Jan/Feb and he is the same there has to be questions asked but until then give it a rest with the shittest player ever in a City shirt.

One more point stop banging on about NDJ. He has left, get over it.
No one here really knows what happened but it is expected that we offered a contract and he turned it down because Mancini didnt want someone like him in the team.
