Not really he gave the ball away in the same places as Milner and Negredo today

And like I said. They were shit too. Especially Milner.

Yes, Milner was much worse than Garcia today but he escapes much of the shit on here.
Because Milner has shown he is capable of good/great performances. If anyone can point out any standout good performances from Garcia I would be very surprised.

Treat each match on its merits and Milner was beyond shit today and Garcia was much better. I rate Milner more highly than Garcia in general of course, but I wouldn't trust him as a defensive midfielder.

we are a team that thrives on tempo, quick countering and quick slick passing, a player who dwells and passes the ball slowly to our least effective ball players time and time again adds nothing to our team, by the time Garcia has decided to pass the ball to either boyata or lescott the opposition have emptied their flasks waiting for city to move forward.

Garcia may have a role to play in some teams, In ours he is an hindrance who kills our momentum better than any side we face.
That maybe true, but it doesn't make him a bad player.

Squad player in my book, covering central defence or defensive midfield.

I agree he is a competent player who didn't set the fee, without being arrogant our team is too good for him.

Hahahaha.

Beat me to it............

Sorry mate. ;-)

Proof, if ever required, that stats are horseshit and 2 eyes are much better.

"Stats are horseshit" yet another insightful gem. Call something "wank" next, or just post "lol" under something you disagree with.

and Milner is/was trying to make things happen, do you think Milner is ever just going to get the ball knock it back simply to Clichy in the knowledge he isnt getting it back and think " right thats my job done " ffs people dont talk shit, does messi get tackled more than Garcia during 90 mins ? probably, dont compare players in completely different positions, ask what Garcia offers the team

There was a charming inevitability to that ;)

I agree most of them were shit but fans who actually think he is good are easily pleased. He is wank.

People have a go at him whatever. Today he did not give possession away any more than Milner Negredo Et al

But those two give possession away in threatening areas. You sometimes have to give away possession in and around the box as you have to take risks to create shooting opportunities. Garcia gives it away in innocuous situations.

No such thing as giving the ball away innocuously in football.

i really never understand people who think stats prove anything, i have said it before if a stat can prove Crouch is a better England CF than Shearer that Frank Clark is the 4th best ever Prem league manager and that 1 season John O.Shea was United deadliest striker what can be the point in them, show me 2 years same amount of games played v same level opposition and i might take notice, but when i hear he averaged 1.87 touches per 3.98 mins with only 2.74 take ons in the last 1.56 games i just have to..... well has anyone got the Ed Norton slamming laptop gif ?

It's the opposite. People reading the stats don't understand that stats aren't trying to prove unspecific things.

If you show someone a pass completion stat and use it as proof that "Garcia is a better passer of the ball than BArry", you're using it wrong.

If you show someone a pass completion stat and use it as proof that "Garcia has completed a higher percentage of passes than Barry" then you're using it correctly.

As I said earlier, the problem with statistics in football is that people don't actually LOOK at what they are looking at and think they say something else. The problem isn't within the statistics themselves, it's in how people are interpreting them.
