I'm with you grim.

If, as Dave suggests, this is a forum for discussion not unqualified support, then I am quite happy to have a discussion. Comments like "he's just shit" are not points for discussion are they.

All I would say regarding Garcia is that he hasn't looked genuinely top class in his time with us so far. He looks short of pace and seems a little cumbersome in his movement at times. He has though arrived in a new team and league and it can take some players longer than others to acclimatise to the changing physicality of play. I have seen him play some good games but the negativity around some of the members simply do not give credit where it's due.

A player who is offered solid and generous support is far more likely to settle in and improve than one who feels under immediate pressure from the boo boys.

Extremely tedious, the slagging off of players by some on this forum is quite simply pathetic

and you are entitled to your opinion however from what I have seen of Garcia and Kolarov they simply are not good enough

Good enough to be in a squad challenging for titles and cups, they both played their part

Apart from Arsenal away..show me a game where Garcia err played his part.
Oh and Kolarov, all is forgiven because he scored that goal against Sunderland which apparently won us the leauge. Garcia is way to slow and no improvement on De jong at all. Kolarov is tactically inept, cannot defend and only has a good cross. Both should be and hopefully will be sold. Why is Garcia not at the confed cup?

I would hazard a guess that the fans slagging Garcia off are the ones who like a good up and at em types running round like headless chickens and diving into tackles. Ya need mud on yours shorts or your shit type

Brilliant. So instead of answering my post you take solace in the fact that a few others rate him. Fuck me mate, just face it Garcia , Kolarov are really average players.

Spain have the best midfield that has ever been. They have that much strength in depth they have sent Thiago and Isco to the U21.

For what its worth I have always supported Garcia. You need time to settle into a new league (well a lot of players do) and adapt to the speed of the game.

He had a bad injury which kept him out for a long time as well which didn't help.

I really think he will prove people wrong next season.

Garcia needs to go. Too slow for this league and an expensive squad option.

Only saw him have one piss poor game against Wigan some were average where he was no better or worse than a number of others, and some were good. Not at Confed cup because he wasn't picked in final squad, Del Bosque sees something you obviously don't

Kolorov is steady if not spectacular good passer better crosser than Clichy not as quick as Clichy were his pace covers his sometime poor positional play. But hey ho keep dwelling on negatives your glass mite go above half way full one day

Busquets, Alonso and Martinez all ahead of him.

He can't improve on pace he doesn't have.

Kolarov, I don't personally rate as good enough. Garcia clearly is a good player, and has been named in quite a few of Spain's recent squads, narrowly missing the final cut for the confed cup.

Give the guy a chance, there was a spell where he was playing well for us but due to an injury crisis he had to play at CB and then never really held down a CM role.

And those talking about how MP sold Garcia at Real, MP won't have any control over signings, so what makes you think he has any control over outgoings. He'll get what he's given.

its been obvious to almost all fans that garcia is not a premiership type player the pace of our league just does not suit him and dare i say even barry at his tender age has more pace than garcia.

shit no but a premiership player that will improve no....

Oh fucking great look who has turned up

Garcia is a good defensive midfielder who can also be a centre half.
Those who say he has no pace would have a point if there was nobody with pace next to him or if he played as an attacking midfielder. Neither of these are the case though.

He and Barry were our Achilles Heal v high pressing opponents.

When people watch some of Dinho then they will be silenced in sympathetic praise.

We owe nobody a living or a favour and passengers should get off at the next station.

yes garcia lacks pace,i think we all agree ,but you look at his distribution, and very rarely do his passes go astray, personally,i think hes a nice tidy player

He passes to the man beside him. He needs to compliment Yaya, not be carried by him.

A good player and a very useful CB, but is least effective when playing in a 2 man midfield or alongside Gareth Barry.
