I always find it fascinating how one case gets more coverage than another.
 
It was only suggested that he was a "thug" after they delved into his background etc. It was the fact that he'd gone missing abroad which was the main factor in the coverage.
Nobody actually knew the manner in which he died until 4 weeks into the investigation / media scrum.
As mentioned elsewhere, hundreds of young people go missing every year in the UK but their cases don't attract mainstream media attention.

"suggested"? That's what he was.

And there are loads of people who hit the news for going missing abroad, this one was unusual with nothing xenophobic about it.

You've made a story up in your head that doesn't exist in reality here.
