I remember Smalling. Saw him play loads of times at non=league Maidstone. When I saw he'd turned up at Fulham I was aghast. There was just nothing about him that ever gave you the idea he might make the step-up to league status one day, let alone the bloody Premier league. And now he's a rag!

If he goes on to do well then it will confirm what I've always suspected - that I'm no bloody talent scout!
