It makes complete sense.
I think we need to move away from the idea of a like for like replacement for Walker - he's such an anomaly in his position that we're never going to find someone that can fill that void once he's gone.
Rather, we need to evolve and play in a different way, which I think Pep is gearing for anyway with how Walker has been deployed this season.
Academy lad, 14 goals 12 assists with plenty of top level, winning experience under his belt and can be bought back for way under his market value, in a position we need to strengthen? It's a complete no brainer and that's why I've been concerned it won't actually happen.
