I wonder if he meant release clause, which apparently expired in the summerof course theres no buy back, we sold him to celtic 5 years ago.

Frimpong, Porro or Yan Couto wouldn’t go a miss right now for Kyle Walkers spot.
The limit on players you can loan out at any one time has shafted us in recent years.
Depends upon whether we want a fullback or a wing back to replace Walker.

They all have the same downsides as Rico but I guess with more pace, all 3 of those are pretty weak defensively and effectively thrive as a wing backs which we don't really use , especially when we haven't got a suitable anchor in the middle to help cover when they go forwardFrimpong, Porro or Yan Couto wouldn’t go a miss right now for Kyle Walkers spot.

We have Gvardiol doing that was a LB and we see how often he gets exposed by being high up the pitch, same goes for those 3, especially Frimpong and Couto
The problem is there aren't too many defensive full backs these days, all the leading ones are attack minded
Porro is now unavailable so Frimpong and Vanderso are options, Couto I just don't think he's good enough
A season ago Porro didn't have the best of times against us. He has scored against us a couple of games ago but he isn't the best defender in the world, and I would call him a replacement for Walker. I don't mind Frimpong being a target but again it will take more time to fully adjust and even that is not a guarantee.
Not a great defender, but neither is Kyle or Rico at the moment. Frimpong bombing forward with Bobb cutting in from the right, don’t mind that at all. Only 23, so plenty of time to improve his defending. Would prefer Livramento personally, but would be a solid signing

Livramento has had so many injuries though. Could really have a lasting effect.

Would be OK when we are dominant in games as he is skillful and pacey, but Anfield away, small and not great defensively. Saying that he would be a definite improvement on Mr Willy twirlerHe's just so lightweight. He's probably the same height or slightly taller than Rico, for example, but Rico has thick legs and a strong center of gravity which makes it tough to bully. Frimpong seemed so easy to nudge/push off the ball. Also while he's rapid going forward, he didn't seem to have the same desire to get back with that pace.
He's doing well in a system suited for his needs but it's tough to see him here. Wish him a really successful career though.

Reports coming out looking like we are going for him next season. Assume it will be a LB tucking into the three and Frimpong bombing forward.
Apart from his ACL injury in 21/22 his injury record isn’t that badLivramento has had so many injuries though. Could really have a lasting effect.

Rico goes down very easily it's embarrassing really. If Rico is diving it's bad and if he can't stay on his feet it'd bad and as for pulling out of tackles?

If we sign somebody like Frimpong, I'd assume it's because of a change in system/tactics from Pep in terms of how we use the fullbacks. Against Spurs (and at the start of last season) Walker (and Gvardiol) pushed up really high but because they're not the quickest, they struggled to get back against a counter. I doubt Frimpong would have that issue.
He made a conscious decision at the start of 17/18 sack wingers off and go with attacking fullbacks - hence Mendy and a then-attacking Walker - but that was curtailed when Mendy did his ACL.
I wonder if he'll look to go back to it given that the wingers template seems to have stagnated this season. I doubt it because we have Doku and Savinho who excel out wide rather than centrally but I can't see Frimpong being used in the same capacity as Walker is.
