I think City were always looking elsewhere for a winger as soon as Mahrez left.

The issue for me is Cole Palmer wanting to play most weeks. He's demanding to play a lot more now so if City can't promise him that, he will be off.

I find it a bit funny some people on here seems to think that we must sort out a deal with Doku before Chelsea/Spurs/West Ham bid. People seem to forget that we are the top dogs here, we don't need to be afraid of competition from these clubs. If we do or don't sign Doku is entirely down to us and if we are willing to meet Rennes valuation, regardless of what these clubs are doing.

It didn't take long for those slating Tixiki to rear their heads. There's 12 days left of the transfer window & what difference does it make if either Paqueta or Doku are signed before then as they are not going to walk straight into the starting 11.

did they do the caicedo or lavia deal in a few days, there is plenty of deals that they havent got over the line quickly or at all, their sheer volume just makes you believe that they have done business quickly

Its genuinely amazing on here how we go from a player being linked with us and the majority of people saying he doesnt get in the team isnt good enough etc etc to we absolutely need him and hes the best player ever and the team will fall apart without him in less than a week
