I have watched him extensively and his end product is often poor and due to his explosive pace but poor final ball he reminds me of Adama Traore. That could change in time as he matures, which I am sure is something the powers that be have considered. If he sorts his final ball out we have a real player on our hands. To suggest he’s the finished article at such a young age is utter tosh. I’m sure Pep will work with him to sort out his final ball.

He's not the finished article however a comparison to traore is just plain laziness and closed mindness. Much better skill set, better dribbler, much higher technically, able to make better decisions already at a young age and higher chance creation, different player to be honest, you havnt watched him extensively

Stats would appear to back this up but from highlights he reminds me more of a young Sterling. Traore is a bit "head down, straight line" whereas Doku keeps people guessing which way he's going. He has Raheem's flappy armed run too so it's a yes from me, I've missed that.

See us buying potential here as lad only 21 and not the finished player by a very long way ......so, I will wait to see how and how much Pep plays him in the toughest league in world.....just seems alot to pay IMO and also what does it say about the pool of younger players coming through for that winger roll? ....Time will tell.

Agree, but aside from the odd bargain out there, £55m is pretty much the new £30m. Buying potential hasn't been that much cheaper for a long time now. Chelsea have been spending upwards of £80m on potential.

He is more tactically flexible than Adama Traore for starters. Although technically he is a little off a Pep player he still has enough to work in his system.
