City will be the last to reveal their own signing at this rate!

Well except the Mirror who embarrassed themselves again tonight and will be saying Navas has agreed to join us a week from now based on their timeline.

I was about to say....the only website not to pick up on the signing is this one :)

Having spent a lot of time in Sevilla I can assure you we are signing an absolute star...quick and tricky winger - would argue exactly what we were missing last year.

Cannot put in to words though how gutted Sevilla fans will be - this is their hero, came through the academy...represented them winning the World Cup, won lots of trophies with Sevilla and had the bravery to face up to mental illness in a very public environment. Deserves a lot of credit for that alone and undoubtedly would have signed for Real Madrid or as reported Chelsea earlier had he been in a position where he could cope with his anxiety. City have a unique "player care" system in place and I'd imagine they will have everything set up already to ensure that it is a smooth transition. Sevilla fans all over twitter saying that he deserves everything he can win at City.

And he is absolutely fast as fuck. Excellent news.

Am I the only one that thinks that Navas is exactly what we needed to suit dzekos style..he can add an extra 7 to 10 goals just from navas crosses..and maybe we won't need a new striker as much as we think..navas doesn't know how to NOT put crosses in the box thru 90 or even 120 minutes!

Your definitely not the only one who is of this opinion, personally I don't think Dzeko is the answer and it would be a risk to keep him in the hope he decides to be a bit braver and stronger in his general game. There are better players out there who would benefit from Navas and not just Cavani.

When does the tfr window officially open?

1/7/2013

I apologise I gave you duff gen:

According to the Premier leagues Official site:

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/fans/faqs/when-does-transfer-window-open-close.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/fans ... close.html</a>

This it what it says:

When does the transfer window open and close?

There are two transfer windows in each Barclays Premier League season.

The first commences at midnight on the last day of the season and ends on 31 August if a working day - or, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board.

The second transfer window commences at midnight on the 31 December and ends on the 31 January if a working day, and again, if not, on the first working day thereafter, at a time determined by the Board.

Temporary transfers can be made permanent outside of the transfer windows. For further information please see the rules in the Premier League Handbook.

With Navas having signed, this will now give us more tactical flexibility. We will now have width aswell as the pace to play on the break.

Two of our main weaknesses addressed with one signing.

Welcome Jesus, hope he ends up being absolutely brilliant for us.

Feels like we've just bought the Spanish Aaron Lennon to me. Decent squad player, bit of pace, direct, different to what we've already got, but not exactly and earth shattering signing that's going to completely change our season.

Would have definitely preferred to spend the extra 10m and got Reus.

In 2011/12 (according to Wiki) he played 37 league games, scoring 5 and making 14 assists. In 2012/13 he played 36 league games, scoring 0 and making 6 assists.

Just hope we get his 2011/12 form.

So Reus is available for 30m?

I will let Txiki know tomorrow. Will send a quick email off to Tito, Perez, Guardiola and Jose as well.
