How they have managed to get the transfer fee and the wage so low is beyond me. Thats good for us anyway. Makes the player more motivated to do well, and saves us unnecessary spending which could be better spent elsewhere like for stadium improvements etc. :D
On the Barca documentary that was posted last week it was clear that Soriano likes performance based pay....although they were suffering from the possibility of making a loss should they win the league due to the bonuses.
Off topic but can anyone link me to this Barca documentary I've heard being mentioned quite a bit on here lately.

Thanks a milli

Spanish Aaron Lennon yes I suppose so in the same way Mata is the Spanish Steven Ireland, silva is the Spanish Cleverley, Busquets is the Spanish Joey Barton, Xavi is tgeSpanish Henderson and iniesta is the modern Spanish Rick Holden. Spot on great analysis!

They don't have Aaron Lennons in Spain they learn technique as kids!

I dont get the lennon thing either... If you wanna compare him to anyone, then maybe the Valencia of 2/3 seasons ago is closer (with more pace), if you wanna compare him to someone in the Premiership... Not seen him hundreds of times, but from what I have, he's got a good engine, tracks back, weakest part of his games is his goal scoring, but is quick, direct and has a final ball more often than not... Something Lennon struggles with...

Both small and lightening quick who aren't a massive goal threat. Lennon actually scored more and got more assists than Navas last year (Lennon 4 and 7, Navas 0 and 6). Of course stats aren't everything and there are lots of other factors at play, but I'm not bowled over by him signing.

I'm cautiously happy about the signing, but I'd see him more as a squad player and decent plan B than the creative mastermind who's going to win us the Champions League.

Provided his homesickness doesn't crop up then this is a good signing for the price quoted. Little bit on the old side for a winger, but hopefully he can have a quick impact.

Txiki had a meeting with the agent of a player in that doc with Sandro Rosell, where Rosell drew diagram that had wages with about 4/5 different areas made up of bonuses.
