Well said. He's been a model pro for us and made a big contribution to our club. I'd rather he stays but if he doesn't, he'll go my best wishes and gratitude.

In the last 100 games for city he has scored 4 goals that is shocking for a winger and if we had a decent goals return from that side it could of made all the difference in games! Not to mention his crossing which is all over the show! Also over the last 14 years I have had a season ticket at city bar one year when I got sent to afghan so don't try and say I'm a pathetic fan that has been nowhere near a game

Great post. Obviously more end product would be appreciated but last season we were better with him than without him. I'd like to see what Pep could do with him before letting him leave.

he has to cover so much ground tracking back. covering for lazy fucks. lets see if can play his natural game before condemning him.

Sure. But we have seen his finishing. He is just not a goalscorer and he's not going to add it to his game now. We've seen his crossing as well. A very good player but not a great one. If we are signing players or making room for younger players then we have to let some go, especially if they are nearing the end of their contracts. Free up squad places, free up wages and get some money in to help balance the books.

Nothing at all against him but it is a position that needs upgrading.

It's never a good sign when the best thing about a player is that he works hard. Don't think there's anybody that would slate Navas for his effort or commitment but that should not mean he gets a free pass. His end product is almost non-existent, our right fullback offers more of an attacking threat than Navas does. He's one of if not the weakest link in our team and should be one of the first to be replaced.
