Removing the emotion from it, you could say the same about everybody murdered though, so we may as well bring back capital punishment.

To me, that takes us closer to their ideology and Sharia rather than ours.

I do think in this case, it is slightly different though given the obvious guilt (the right is to a fair trial, I'm not sure it could be argued a trial was needed apart from due diligence) and lack of option for a capture and trial.
 
You lose your rights when you leave the country of birth to go to a warzone and start murdering people on camera - he's not gone to, say, Saudi Arabia and misunderstood the laws around alcohol, he's gone to Sirya/Iraq to follow some warped cult!

In short, fuck him, he asked for it!!!

Ideally, he would have be brought to trial, but in an 'ideal' world cunts like him wouldn't exists in the first place

So, in the absence of any realist chance of him going on trial being splattered all over desert will do just fine

EVERYBODY HAS CERTAIN MINIMUM RIGHTS NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO.

That's not my opinion, that's the law (a) of this land, and (b) every other civilised nation on the planet.

Pointing out this obvious fact doesn't in any way condone what this **** did, it's just to point out that our society's consistency about this is in marked contrast with the sort of society IS want to bring about - the sort of society where you don't have rights.

Are some of you who think criminals shouldn't have any rights quite sure which side you are on?
 
Pretty sure the drone operative sat in Virginia was seriously contemplating jj's rights just before he pressed the trigger

You don't lose your rights, but you do make it impossible for the law to protect them.

I do agree entirely with your last sentence, but if he'd come back here we wouldn't have executed him without trial, which seems to be what some people wanted.
