Jimmy & Joe To Sign New Contracts

The uncertainty with Jimmy is annoying. He should face it at this point - he's not going to get better opportunities to win something in this country than playing with us. His other choices here as rumoured are Liverpool and Arsenal and funny enough he'd probably not be a starter in a lot of their matches either.

Brendan rotates his squad like a mad man and as soon as he does something wrong Arsene would bench him for a shiny new French 19 year old. I can see Italians signing him but on neither of the teams likely to take the UCL spots and definitely on much lower wages.

Wherever he goes after he leaves City (and he will leave, if not by his choice then when the club decides he is no longer required) will be a downward step. By not re-signing he has a greater degree of control over just how far downwards.

That Bony talk makes sense

Swansea probably offered him a couple of million to sign a new deal, knowing they could then get an extra £10 million for him on the market as his release clause was only £18 - £19 million up until him signing

Clever on Swansea's part, it appears they were one step ahead of the game, unlike us with the Milner deal
Spot on.

Our only mistake is thinking Milner is a man of his word..

Little did they know they were dealing with a shithouse..
Aye, for wanting the best deal for himself
He owes City Fuck All.

Completely agree. If he downed tools, sulked or bad mouthed his way out then I can see some animosity, but he has been an example of professionalism. He still gives his all, keeps his council and goes about his job to the best of his ability.
No problem if he wants a pay day. Good luck to him , just not against us.

In this day and age, players owe the clubs fuck all, and vice versa.

Correct, but you think they would. ;-)

I sincerely hope James enjoyed his last City trip to Abu Dhabi.

BTW. I moved my TSB Bank account to the Halifax just over a year ago. I got £100 for doing it. I'm now going to move my Halifax account to the Yorkshire Building Society. They are offering £150. There is no loyalty where money and self gain are concerned. It's just a fact of life.
