Thought he played better once he went into the centre with Fernandinho. Had a solid game and I hope he signs.

Apart from not being any kind of attacking threat on left he was good.

Defended well, going-forward and his passing was dire

He was 'due' a good performance such as Navas. We can still rely on him for most of the 'big' games (being abysmal against Arsenal just as Navas and few else doesn't change that). I would still consider it a big miss if he leaves, but if he does, I hope that we opt to solve the situation within the club and give a chance to a youngster.

Milner isn't productive enough in a creative sense to occupy one of the wide midfield roles while the equally limited Navas is on the field, and when isolated against the touchline he sometimes looks cumbersome in possession, but he showed today that he can be an asset when keeping things ticking over simply in the centre of the pitch; some of his forward passing from that role tonight was impressive.
