Looks very much like he's stringing us along, running down the clock. If a bird was doing this to a mate of yours then you'd be telling him to move on
I'm not so sure.

He is the consummate professional. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to NYC but is keeping it quiet along with the club to prevent any adverse media and we use him like frank next season.

He's a boring tw.t and a bit greedy too!

All the evidence suggests that he is definitely not boring, and well above average for footballer intelligence; what evidence do you have that he is greedy?

Holding out for £120k per week when you play for the champions and win trophies!

I can't imagine that would be the only thing holding it up? The lads incredibly fit and committed, surely more about cash and playing time than duration of contract.

True or not, I wonder how that extra year will be interpreted?

That he wishes to stay at the club for as long as reasonably possible or that the mercenary **** wants another year to milk the club dry?

Simon Mullock is a Blue, and has good links at the club so I'm more inclined to believe him than other journalists. If it is true then it seems odd from the club; we should just give him a four year deal. We could always sell him after 2/3 years if necessary. With the new TV deal those wages aren't an issue.
