Jimmy Savile

Couple of things from the documentary.
Michael Parkinson, Russell Harty and Richard Whitely all matey and jokey clips from their interviews with him they all have a common bond, just saying.
Andrew Neil went for him and I got the impression that he wanted to get the truth out there as Savile said earlier in the programme he used his ability at being ‘tricky’ to avoid Neil’s questioning. Very clever he truly was a master at manipulation.

The connections to Royalty are disturbing to say the least.

That Clunk Click show with Gary Glitter - good lord!
What common bond?

To be fair, it was partly my fault. Funny as fook and taken in the right way . Respect to you doc
I've always said that if you dish it out then you have to be prepared to take it back so fair do's.

Incidentally, and somewhat in my defence, the lady in question is 20 years old and fit as a fiddle. So that puts me in the dirty old man category rather than anything untoward. :-)

Yeah, as a kid i always thought he was odd.

My Mum hated him though, she couldn't stand to watch him on TotP or Jim'll fix it or any of his charity walks etc, she'd always walk out the room mumbling that he was a perv.
My mum too. She used to shudder when he was on TV and always said he disgusted her.

Mmmmmm, no
He made Bruno shake hands with him (it was the Ripper, I just checked) in Broadmoor.

The other thing you notice about Savile is the fact his cigars were always full, you never seem to see him pictured with a nearly finished one or half-smoked one even.

Anyway not sure I'd like to sit through a doc about him tbh.
