João Félix

I’ve read a quote from Benfica president somewhere today saying something along the lines of “we can’t make him stay when he is being offered 6 million a year after tax”
Seems maybe hyperbole from a Club president explaining to his fans why he’s selling their best player.

Whether it’s 100m or £7.50, what difference does it make to you personally?

Personally, doesn't make difference to any of us, but as City fans it does. If you buy someone and lose the money on him if he eventually doesn't work, than you cut that money from budget to buy someone else on that or other position.

I understand what you want to say, but it's not that black and white, specially with so many rules and regulations about money spent, wages etc.. there is a difference.

And that’s why we employ people paid millions of pounds to make those decision professionally.

True, but they still don't have power to stop someone discussing about it on forums. They are not trying that, though.

Phil has been ahead of Jaden in every year that Jaden was at City. If he moved to Germany like Sancho, hew would be playing first team football regularly and playing for England now. As far as running away, it is quite simple. You take up the challenge that you have at your club, or you leave because it is easier to get first team football with an inferior team. I do believe Jaden has great skill and potential, but to suggest Foden is potential and Sancho is a £100m player is quite ridiculous. Which is what the poster I replied to was suggesting.
The very definition of potential.

In short, he isn't in Germany and he isn't starting for England. Sancho actually is doing both. Hence why he is Currently without a doubt ahead of Phil.
