João Félix

Is he fuck. He's a very good talent in a shit league. Before we overdo the hyperbole let's see what happens at Athletico.

We have bernAdo sterling de bruyne and sane
All are better
So we don’t have to spend 100m
Athletico are desperate as Griezmann is off
To me looks like Barca when neymar left

Great move from Athletico

Felix is better than Griezmann and 9 years younger

Its like replacing your old car with new one without paying anything

I guess it makes sense for him to go there in the sense that he'll instantly become their main man with Greizmann on his way out. He simply wouldn't of had that luxury with us. Although I doubt that we'll ever see him in a City shirt now due to the fact that we've pretty much burned bridges with Atletico over the Rodri deal and the absolute insane amount Atletico will demand if he ever does leave. Can only see him going to Barca, Real or PSG now. Could be wrong though.

Even if he turns out to be Messi (which he won't because Messi was already much better at the same age) it's far too much money & is further distorting the market.

Mbappe was also far too much money & only becomes worth that money, if they sell him, same with this kid. But Mbappe came with the gurantee of extreme pace, so is less of a gamble. With that pace & a finishing ability, he is going to score goals, so at least you have that as a fallback.

This kid has to be amazing or you have spunked over 100 mil.

The going rate, should be half that.

No problem with them spending £115m after selling around £150m of players. We will see now how really good the lad is.

Good intermediate team for him to break through, hope it goes well for him.

If he does pull it off though and then starts kicking up a fuss to move elsewhere you have to wonder what sort of sums you’ll be looking at for him!

Let's say they signed Dzeko on a free transfer, a couple of players such as Danilo, Everton, maybe gamble a bit on the 'next' Aguero from Argentina, sign a Bruno Fernandez level player at the right price, etc etc.

Gambling over 100 mil on this is just purely 'gambling' imo.

If it comes off, they make money. If it doesn't, they lose money. But if their main concern was improving the team, they could do it over a couple of seasons, in several positions, without so much gambling.

The equivalent transfer for us, would have been buying Neymar for 350 mil.
