Jo can play. And he seems like a nice lad.

I don't rate him but if he's in the team on Monday I'll be putting money on him to score. He was shipped out of Everton for unprofessional behaviour wasn't he so it would be icing on the cake if we get a win on Monday and Jo gets one over on Moyes.

May well be a "nice lad"
But he is hopeless,
Its like playing with 10 men when he starts.
Played in amateur sides he wouldnt get in
Any half decent defender wouldnt give him a kick...
And if they gave him a kick he would cry!
Backbone of a jellyfish. Nice lad tho.

'It's like playing with 10 men', most overused phrase on these boards. Scored a good goal yesterday, put one on the plate for Balotelli against West Ham that wasn't converted, and when he plays on the left wing does some nice one touch football and keeps possession well which helps us play more fluid attacking football when he is in the team.

He isn't amazing but neither are Kalou, Chicharito, Bendtner, or Pavuylchenko all of whom are important for filling in when the other top teams are short of forwards for any reason.

Hardly puts the fear of God in oppositions defenders I'm afraid. Which is what I'm looking for from any striker who pulls on the shirt, be them 1st or 4th choice striker

I think a lot of people look at the chances he misses and make assumptions he's a bad player. He does something good and people ignore it and don't mention it yet he makes a mistake and everyone moans and jumps on the kid. For me, yesterday he was one of the best at keeping the ball. Knocked up to him on many occasions and countless times it was a one touch pass to someone coming up to support him. He has a good footballing brain like all Brazilians, can spot little things others can't. It might not come off every time but you can see what he's trying to do and his intentions are.

Yes he's missed some easy chances but the lad isn't bad at all and we should be backing whoever plays for this club. A lot of mates who are rags moan about Park and Evans being shit and I love how I don't think any of our players are shit because they're not! To get to this level they have the ability, it's all about confidence, form and luck!

his goal record since he left Moscow speaks for itself

1 in 5 for City, Everton, Galatasaray and City again

sorry but that is simply not good enough

he's a good pro and maybe he's a nice bloke but I'd rather have a goalscorer ta

Jo has improved and and maybe he can improve some more. The rags have plenty of players that looked seriously crap early on but became useful players, Park Ji Sung and Darren Fletcher are two.

Besides which how good or poor an individual player is is not wholly the point. The important point is are we a better team with Jo playing compared with someone else taking his place. The recent improved team performances have included Jo in the side so maybe he does bring us something other players don't.

In any case I hate "fans" that slag off their own players whether it's because they are struggling or because their role in the team is not understood.
