He gave it his all, yes he missed that one right at the off but I think the ease with the way the ball fell for us took him (& us) by surprise!! Good on you Jo.

Me and my dad have been talking about this, we both agree Jo has made some pretty good progress lately and I feel he's had some unfair stick from a lot of people.
When you look at him play he always gets in to good positions, I see him helping midfield, dropping deep and holding the ball up and hopefully he will improve and gain more confidence, at least when the ball is in the air he will make a bloody attempt to header it rather than back off if nothing else :p
I also like the way he just gets on with it and doesn't whinge like some players we could mention.

I will say though he needs to be stronger on the ball and make a few sharper runs but overall I'm impressed :)

He will only get better with time, still at 23 he has a lot of work to do, but is delighted with the chances Mancini has given him and is genuinely nice.

That goal was just what he needed and I can see him developing into an important fringe player for us.

Had a good natter at the ground last week about him, and while we agreed he is never going to be a world beater, he does give us something. He has a good first touch, he can hold the ball, and he can pass was the general consensus.

He isn't great, but he's not totally shit, either.
