JO - Everton on Loan

I know he can't play us in the PL, but will he be able to play against us if we draw them in a Cup, or will he be Cup-tied?

Jo would not be eligible to play for Everton against City in any competition as per terms of the Loan agreement.

He might be part of Lescott's deal, even though The Times mentioned that he won't be part of the deal. I wouldn't mind Lucio and Lescott as starting center-halves.

Strange that he had to convince Everton of his fitness! Is he still in the Brazil Int squad? Did he play in Confed Cup?

No he wasn't in the squad and every Everton player has a pre season medical to assess their state of fitness before the intensive fitness course begins in Scotland today

I dont see why we'd help a rival

Because a loan would benefit City as well as us. Jo is most settled with us so is likely to play better for us, meaning after the loan spell there is likely to be more clubs interested in him.

Not for me. Shouldn't be helping our main rivals for 5th place, not unless we are getting something in return i.e jo on loan in return for them selling lescott to us.

Loaning Jo is going to help City more than Everton.

11.02 Manchester City striker Jo is close to agreeing a new season-long loan deal with Everton and has already joined the Toffees' pre-season camp in Scotland.

I'm very happy with that, we'll have him back to you a far better player.

If this is not part of the Lescott deal its a disgrace. WHat are we a charity ? Everton are one of our main rivals in the league they are skint so are are strengthening the opposition. It would be madness to do this and get nothing in return.

Fulham offered £8 million apparently we should just have cut and run - not the finished article and thats what we are looking for at the moment.

I cant understand how this would be allowed unless part of the Lescott deal.

You have a better chance of getting a good fee for Jo once he has completed a year with us, he's settled with us. I don't think Lescott is going anywhere now, the £15m you offered isn't enough and its clear you are pursuing other targets.
