Jo

i am quite happy for everton to be our feeder club where we can send the underacheivers there to learn their basic skills before returning to us as better players. everton are not gonna win anything whereas we are on the up, looking for trophies in the next few years. thwe y are not our competition, forget about them.
What an odd thing to say, how can a club above us not be in competition with us?

You city "fans" don't have a clue, honestly. All season you have got on the back of Jo when he is new to the country, brazilian international and obviously a very good player. Typical city ey ?? Well I for one am glad to see Jo stick it in your faces. Mark Hughes is unfortunately to blame, I no ill get slated for this but he is obviously not a lone striker. Its like robbie keane with liverpool just no confidence from the manager. And know he has gone watch him score.

everton's prime raison det're (spelling) for the next ten years is to stay up and not get relegated. Present form is the best they can ever acheive with their financial backing, evrything else is downhill. We, however, are on the up!!!!!!!!!!!

I note that MotD match commentary, Jo being a City player, was a factual point avoided!! Not even a mention that he was on loan, but they DID mention what a decent start to his Everton career, it was!!

And, by the way, what's this utter tosh that Jo is too 'lightweight' for the Prem?? Utter rubbish! The boy played exactly the same as he had at City, except the passes came off today, the ball seemed to be played into his feet a lot (it was in the air a hell of a lot from us!) AND he had more support than what he usually had for us when pressing towards goal!

Absolutely right Bigga. Our kind of football does not suit players who play football on the floor, Elano, Jo and Robinho etc.
It's horrible to watch but it is very effective at upsetting better teams and very difficult to beat if Hughes gets it right.

Looks like Jo fluffed a couple of shots before he scored. The difference was that the scousers didn't all start shouting abuse at him and giving him shit thus ruining his confidence, looks like it paid off

Sad state of affairs when scousers are behaving as far superior human beings to ourselves

Arteta came on and said he was unhappy the last few months, I suspect some of our idiot fans are a major factor in that. Also tbf that first shot was on his weaker foot. i really want him to come back but he looks happy there.

Might need a tin hat here but, perhaps we should wait a few games before judging him!

He scored two goals for us in Europe remember, and didnt do much more.

I'm pleased for the lad and hope (only if we can keep him) that he does well there and comes back firing, however, lets wait until the summer before labelling him the next best thing and its all Hughes's fault.

got to disagree with you there. all our football was played on the floor today. against stoke last week it wasnt and hughes came out and said that wasnt the way he expected the team to play.

I would love it if he did, even if he ended up there permanently just to shut our whinging fans up, they won't learn their lesson though and that's the saddest thing.

And no it's not Hughes fault it's the fans.

What, like Villa? What nonsense.

If people on here would back the players with the same blind faith that they back the manager, then perhaps he would have scored some of those goals for us. But no, no faith showed by the fans nor manager and his confidence was destroyed. We have just handed one of our best potential players to a team that are aiming for the same as us this season. Classy move by our manager that, when we have a team full of journeymen that could have been despatched instead.
