Jo

But Adebayor gets a free pass even though he goes into the most stupid offside situation you could possible get?

Jo didn't have a great game, not friendly with the ball. But worked hard, and had decent movement and always comes to chances. I seriously don't get why Jo ALWAYS gets abused, its completely absurd.

I would like to see Caicedo too, he was decent last time he played for us.

Yes, he worls hard. But unlike Adebayor, every time he had a chance, I was expecting him to miss. Adebayor gets the ball anywhere near goal, and you expect him to bang it in. Strikers are there to score. Don't care how hard they work, as long as they score. That's what they're paid to do. I hope Robinho comes back, does naff all work and scores shitloads. who gives a toss if he doesn't track back as long as he scores 15 a season?!

Adebayor was even worse than Jo and yet he still gets the stick...must be these fans still bitter about Brasilians because of Robinho....seriously get over it.

Adebayor had a horrid time today, guess we should send him on loan too? Sad seeing fellow supporters badmouthing their own players...the same "supporters" who complain about players badmouthing the club.

With Tevez and Balotelli, we would have had 4, 5, or 6 even tonight I think. The whole team today played well with the striking exception of Jo and Adebayor.

Honestly, I think our reserve duo of Nimely and Guidetti could have been more effective today and I say that with no exaggeration, their pace and unpredictability would have wreaked havoc on a very second rate team.

Neither Jo or Adebayor are the type of player i want to see in a City shirt, this isn't kneejerk because they were both bloody awful tonight,it's because they both lack an inner strength/desire and work ethic that is being instilled into the club. The manager knows this and is why the rumours of further incoming transfers have not gone away

I think the issue is that our club has moved on so much over the last couple of years that we simply except better. Three or four seasons ago we would have taken Jo any day over the likes of Corradi and Samaras but with the amount of money we spent on him we want more from him.

I don't think he always gets abused it's just that we don't get him, he came with a fantastic goal scoring record ay CSKA but has failed to deliver at City, or Everton on loan. He is still young and will get better.

I mean there was a reason Jo was top scorer alongside Vagner Love with CSKA. Was RSC even top scorer in Paraguay? Jo is young, hard working, and with is very capable of doing well here, particularly in European ties. He showed good promise in the pre-season and that he's willing to stay and fight. I'd take him over RSC any day of the week.

No. No no no no no.

Jo has come back this summer and shown the desire to stay with the club, he worked hard in the pre-season and the manager has shown CONFIDENCE IN HIM. Since you're a RAG I don't expect you to understand this but if you watched press conferences with the manager you would see he is confident in keeping Jo as a member of the squad. Same goes for Adebayor, he is our new number 9 for the season. Now bugger off and go read some shite from goal.com or something.

-- Thu Aug 26, 2010 4:51 pm --

Definitely wasn't coincidence that Silva either looked for the run of SWP or had a go himself whenever he got near goal.
Pretty sure he sent it far post a couple times for Jo...and Jo returned the favour with a cross and pass further on in the match...

I tgought Jo did okay tonight, he worked hard for the team and I thought he was unlucky not to get a goal.

The abuse the lad gets on here is a bit pathetic, it seems he is destined to be the favourite target of the boo-boys.

No matter how he plays he will get abuse on here.
