Jo

What is all this model professional bollocks? I thought Jo was a bit of a party boy, agitator and general pain in the arse when Hughes was in charge. Along with Robinho and Elano they were never out of the papers for causing trouble for him.

And one question... did he ever get his second league goal for us after the one in the 6-0 v Portsmouth? Come to think of it, has he had a shot on target since then?

All the best Jo. It didn't work out but at least you can say you played in the Premier League, played in Europe and played for City, which is a lot more than anyone slagging you off on here can say.

So if God forbid you had an operation and the surgeon amputated your leg instead of fixing your cataracts you'd say ''that's alright doc, you're a much better surgeon than I'll ever be so I mustn't criticise....you did your best......thanks for not chopping my head off.......be lucky''

As much as im glad to see Jo go I wish him the best of luck.

I believe he was not signed by a footballing manager but by that Thaksin Shinawatra, thinking because he was Brazilian he was born world class.
He was out of his depth but a true professional.

Cheers for the laughs and occasional goals. It wasn't his fault, he was cup tied. ;)
I thought he was signed on recommendation of Sven and his associates

Not his fault he was shit, I suppose, but whoever scouted him and decided he was worth more than a quid has A) no knowledge of anything, and B) the most cushy job in the world. Never took to this player at all, especially with all the face-holding diving he started last season.

This - after all the piss take can only hope things work out for him

Im sure we was manager-less at the time he signed because before that we was linked with Ronaldo (Brazilian) n Ronaldinho but ended up with Jo. ;p

People may say he doesn't deserve any credit for sitting on the bench and not complaining, because of the money he gets for doing so, which is true to a certain extent. But, think of his career, a footballer is a shorter career than most careers, you have less time to make your mark and be a success, and, therefore, maybe you could argue he has sacraficed a better career to sit on the bench for us, which shows he may have some sort of care and consideration at this club. If it was me, I wouldn't take 50k a week to sit on the bench because I would want to play as much as possible in order to make the most of my career and gain as much honour and pride from it as possible. I'd hate to look back on my career and think, "well that part of it was quite crap because I hardly played and just sat on the bench having no impact", but now Jo may face having to do this, and not making the most of his career.

But one of the things that dissapointed me was when on the pitch, he didn't seem that keen to make things work, he seemed happy to think "This isn't working out, oh well, maybe it will next time", he didn't seem prepared to fight and work at it. Also, in his defence, Hughes did not give him enough chance in that first season, he played in about 8 games before he was sent out on loan, and even then I don't think those 8 games came in one go. If he'd had got a run in the side, in that first season, who knows, he might have gradually got better. He did all right in his first loan spell at Everton, which suggests there was clearly something there in him to work with.

I hope he does all right for himself, as long as it doesn't come back to haunt us in a game in the future. I don't know what I'd do if he ever popped up with a goal to knock us out of the CL.

Narked me that Jo got a few run outs last year instead of Guidetti. Couldn't for the life of me see the point in that. Bye Jo, I liked your dancing on the FA cup final dressing room camera, er and that's about it. ;)
