Joao Cancelo | Al Hilal Player

There was a post recently (from Stefan I think) - explaining that Barcelona weren't behind with payments.

He'd checked their accounts and said:

In fact, we can see in Barca's accounts that Barca owed City €12.6m before 30 June '23 and do still owe c.€40m because the deal was they will pay around €10m this financial year, €15.75m next FY and €13.75m in FY 25/26. Unusually favourable terms but they don't appear to be late on paying.

Great info this, thanks for sharing Blue !

Stick him on the right or left and tell him to keep sticking them trivelas on Haalands head

They won't be late on payment.. it's LL registering thats the issue. Thats why the already La Liga ffp approved Barca Studios money is so important, I doubt they will make a move if the company dont pay up. I doubt they will make a permanent move as well though..

Barcelona are in talks with Manchester City over a move for defender Joao Cancelo, talkSPORT understands.
Cancelo was expected to stay at City this season after impressing Pep Guardiola following his return from a loan at Bayern Munich, but they are now open to selling after Barca came to the table.
City would prefer a permanent deal, but it’s unlikely Barcelona will be able to afford the £50million-rated star due to their financial situation.
That is despite selling Ousmane Dembele to Paris Saint-Germain, with the Frenchman deciding to depart the Nou Camp and return to France with the Ligue 1 giants.
Dembele was on the market for €100m from August 1, but PSG managed to find a loop hole to sign him for €50m after activating a ‘private’ clause.
However, it has been claimed Barcelona will not receive all of that €50m fee, putting a big question mark over their ability to sign Cancelo outright.

Hope it's true that he's off. Unless he's happy to be a rotation winger then there's no place for him here anymore. The style has changed massively since he left - and for the better.

Possibly mate but i think at this current time thats better than nothing? Not sure what his book value would be but a transfer fee, his wages gone and a squad place opened up with benefit us no question.
Oh absolutely, I’d take 25m all day long tbh

I want him out of the club, because of the conflict he was involved with, last season.
If he was a disruptive influence then, it's likely he will do so again.
On his day (which was irregular and seemed to be when he decided) he was excellent for City.
But, far too inconsistent and had a short fuse.
Hope we get a fair price for him - what does everyone think his market value ?

Yeah there no chance Pep is entertaining the idea of having him here before the window closes
