Joao Cancelo

Aside the system working the main reason for targeting Cancelo is because Danilo has failed to give Walker the sort of competition Guardiola hoped for. Evident based on the amount of games Walker's had to play despite dip in form.

Not that Cancelo is good defensively but he will keep Walker on his toes, also because he has to fight for his spot in national side and he'll have the incentive of doing so making headlines under Guardiola.

I agree with you.

Danilo is a very accomplished full back, but I think Cancelo is naturally a far more talented player than Danilo. He is more of the archetypal Pep footballer.

Cancelo is better on the ball and he's much better going forward. Remains to be seen if he's better defensively, but we are in possession of the ball 70% of the game anyway. The pros will definitely outweigh the cons if we do sign him.

Cancelo has a problem temperament. Risk laden.

Is this guy an upgrade on Danilo ??
I think Danilo is a very accomplished RB, we'd be crazy to replace him at a significant $ loss unless his replacement is a step up in class
