In my opinion we would never sign a player without him having a position in the squad.
For a start it puts you in a terrible negotiation stance when selling the excess player and it’s not the way we treat our players.

Because we're not going to keep a RB around the team on £80k p/w, taking up a foreign spot, so he can be 3rd choice RB, 4th choice LB, 5th choice DM or 6th choice CB.

We have better players that can fill the spots that we'd uses Danilo's mythical versatility for.
