We always asked 60m, I don't think we would have lowered our demands by much.
Let's see how this pans out, I didn't expect Bayern to jump in.

If you're happy with Danilo then at least there wasn't much lost in this transfer not going through.

Most fans will be happy with Danilo but sadly he's not good enough. We cannot have Walker playing 90% of games and keep same intensity without someone sharing the workload and giving solid competition. If he stays Walker will never really think he has competition.

That's also true; I'm used to not having great fullback reserves so I didn't feel like it was much of a problem. Fullbacks have never been our strong suit, apart from a couple exceptions.

Cancelo will flourish under Sarri tho. I've for once never felt that there is much weight to this move. As Cancelo is someone Juve surely must look at as a great option for a new attacking manager. He will deliver surely. For us it was always a matter of registering interest since Danilo wants to leave, but he has no suitors yet, and the noise since has mostly been from Italian press, I just think it was always one of those by chance incidents. And now that Spinazzola has moved on and made space, the whole story has relaxed.

I hope so, if he stays.

Perhaps so. However we have done just fine the last two seasons with Walker and Danilo. Maybe not perfect but we will cope.

Yes but the risk is there tho isn't it? Danilo is experienced and more than a decent player but if he stays he will have to do a lot more to push Walker. I hope it works out for the best in the end.

I Think we are ok. Walker and Danilo is probably the strongest in the league in terms of first choice/back up. There is always room for improvement but not a big concern for me if we go with those two.

Danilo's wages will be an issue and since City are dreadful at selling players clubs will just offer a few peanuts and cashews in add-ons hoping we will give in and sell

City aren't dreadful at selling we just have players that are difficult to move on not quite the same thing.

Compare it to Liverpool for example, selling off Solanke for £20m lol.

imo a player of Danilo's reputation and CV should not be hard to move on.

So why do you think we aren't any good, do teams try and buy the players but we just don't know how to do it ? are teams offering good money for players but we don't know how to sell ? especially squad players that may take the right move but are actually quite comfortable being well paid to be part of a squad that wins. Is 20 mill for Solanke better than 25 mill for Iheanacho.

Surely that example is of how piss poor the buying club were for paying such a ridiculous fee.

At least Iheanacho had shown some potential - Solanke has been rubbish wherever he has been.

No issue with another year of Walker/Danilo at RB.

Don't have anything against the club but if Norwich go back down next summer might be worth a cheeky bid on Aarons.

Not good enough? when he plays more than 1 game he is great
