Wouldn't necessarily believe Gerard, he's good but he's gotten outgoings for Barça wrong multiple times. Also, there's sources (AS & Catalunya Radio) strongly claiming they will only sell him if Atletico or anyone pay his release clause of €100m. Might just be a classic case of 'pay up or there's options'

That said Semedo may definitely want a move given lack of playtime, but they'd need to be desperate to sell him below release clause, and he is definitely a priority target for Cholo.

The thing with Castles is he’s paid to print whatever Mendes tells him to, purely to serve Mendes’ agenda.

Sometimes that will be accurate when relating to Mendes clients, but a lot of the time it will be inaccurate, and designed to further whatever angle Mendes is working at that given moment.

The reality is we don’t have a space in the squad for Cancelo unless Danilo leaves first and frees up his spot. So we can’t be close to signing Cancelo until something concrete happens with Danilo first - which doesn’t appear likely in the immediate future anyway.

He’d be a great addition, and I hope this one comes off - but Castles saying it’s close sadly means very little right now.

Juan Cuadrado is negotiating a €15m move to Shanghai Shenhua, which could mean Juventus take JOAO CANCELO off the market.

The Colombia international is very close to the transfer towards China, claim La Stampa, Tuttosport and more.

It’d be the end of his Juve adventure after four seasons, but also a big change in strategy, because it had been rumoured Maurizio Sarri would let Cancelo leave to turn Cuadrado into a right-back.

Now that Cuadrado is leaving, it is entirely possible Juventus will reconsider Cancelo’s role within the team.

Negotiations with Manchester City continue without a great deal of progress, as Juve are still demanding €60m for the Portugal international, and Barcelona could push their way in.

Cancelo was injured for a while mate and semedo got his feet under the table as they say. Thought he was class as a youngster and he would bring a whole different attacking dimension if we could get him. He also has brilliant passing and crossing ability which isn’t some of Walkers strong points.
