I know its funny but im 100 percent sure if this happened in a City match it would be a dissaster for us...

Thanks for posting. Have to question why he felt the need to come for that?

Once Joe has a settled back four in front of him, that he knows and trusts,i think we will see an end to the uncertainties that have recently plagued him.

Our injuries and subsequent disruptions have done our players,as individuals and as a team,no favours whatsoever,we have been very unlucky.

What if we don't get a settled back four?

I'd suggest even wth everyone fully fit the full backs will be rotated frequently.

His shot-stopping ability hasn't been the main issue, his decision making has, and he's shown again tonight that it's still not right, coming out and getting nowhere near the ball when he clattered Smalling.
At least he clattered smalling, surely that can't be a bad thing, how on earth does that fella get to play international football ?[/quote]
Do we really need to answer that ? The same reason as cleverley, Jones, young, even going back to Gary fookin Bailey. Compare to Matt le tissier, who didn't have the "utd factor". 2 caps ? That's why England will never win anything.

The fullbacks i dont have too much of a problem rotating but we need a settled centre half partnership otherwise we will win nothing.

TBH, I'd be shocked if Joe is in goal against Spurs. His charge out of his box and collision with Smalling shows just how bad his decision making currently is. He's liable to do that once a game. He needs a much longer break IMO. Bring him back early next year but for the moment Pants stays in goal as far as I'm concerned.

Never doubted Joe's shot saving ability, yes he let a few in against Bayern he should have saved but still, to come charging out for a ball he was never going to deal with is worrying. That is where he is going wrong. And clearly he hasn't learned. That one error could have undone all his good saves so for me he needs more time out of the side unless he addresses that main weakness.

Right he as had a rest now ,we all know he is a better keeper than Pantillimon so get him back between the sticks on Sunday, his confidence will be buzzing again after last night and a recall on Sunday

It's also why I couldn't really give a shit about England.

He made a couple of smart saves last night, which should hopefully help restore his confidence, but the decision to come charging off his line was another error of of judgement.

Regardless I think he should restored to the starting line-up against Spurs, but it's difficult to predict if Pellegrini will do so.
