James Milner or Jesus Navas who don't start every game but put in 100% when they are brought on.

Milner is 50% the player of Toure we all know this.

And Navas plays in a totally different position which ruins that argument.

Navas is down as a midfielder and therefore should be able to play midfield surely? Plus Milner might not always be as fast as YaYa but at least he gives 100% whereas YaYa needs a kick up the back side most matches and doesn't give 100%. BUT the thread is about Joe and whether he should have been dropped for poor play, my point was if he is dropped why isn't YaYa so this will be my last answer on YaYa's replacement in this thread. :-)

Clearly the goalkeeping position is such you cannot carry a "passenger" in poor form in it without dropping some serious points. CM is far more accommodating meaning playing below par is CM is far less of a risk so the whole idea of comparing it with any other position on the pitch is useless. Besides Yaya hasn't been in as bad a level of form as Joe. Pellegrini made the correct decision, actually he had to make a decision after the Bayern game and decided to give Joe another chance but it became clear this wasn't a problem that was going to work things out. Joe needed some time to himself with his coaches to sort out his keeping and get back to basics without the glare of the media on him twice a week. Dropping/Resting him was not only the best thing for our club but the best thing for Joe himself, IMO a few more things to work on but he already looked better for it, he will be back soon, a refreshed, refocused and a better goalkeeper and I'm happy the manager made it clear him leaving the club is NOT even being considered, he is our Number 1 now and for the future but he needed this break for himself and the Club.

How many will Joe concede vs Swansea? 2? 3?

What a dumb thing to post
Agree..what a daft post...let's think of the worst? Last few prem games wud suggest clean sheet...but again let's all be negative and think the worst!

Mmmmm....what's that smell ?

You've farted?
Not sure what the smell is but sounds like a prick! Reckon joe will play Sunday...but who ever it is what a bizzare prediction from a 'blue' to say he'll let in 2 or 3??

sounds like he may play sunday but i have given up trying to read pellers,i usually get it wrong,he has a great poker face
If he does Manuel & Co will go up a notch or two in many supporters' estimation. After such a short period it's tantamount to admitting their mistake in dropping him but it would be the brave and wise thing to do for sure. It will also interesting to observe the Hart outers comments on here if it comes to pass. Sadly, I suspect us Hart inners are set to be disappointed though.

I think you've just got to be patient and keep faith in Manuel. He'll know when the right time to bring Joe back is and will get it right.
