Joe Hart (continued)

I haven't read the recent pages on here but I think Joe really needs to work on his positioning. He has been exposed a few times in Brazil with his obsession at guarding his near post, only to be exposed when a ball is whipped across him, and he's desperately scrambling back to save. I'm no goalkeeping expert but he looks amateurish at times. I think his distribution has improved as has him commanding his box better last season. Having said that, he has made a few real howlers in desperately trying to punch the ball away instead of trying to catch it.

I like Hart and I would rather we keep him as I do feel he has the desire and ability to improve enough to be rightly regarded as one of the worlds best. But I/we cannot be sentimental about players, and any player that can not improve to improve the team, must be shipped out. No room for passengers in the squad anymore...

That's a pathetic response. There have been good points made by posters on both sides of this 'debate'.

You clearly rate Hart more highly than some others on BM - You're entitled to your opinion. Others think he's 'gone backwards' and / or that there are better goalkeepers out there. Which way the City hierarchy think is what matters. BM is just full of people expressing opinions.

Your puerile post leads me to think that you probably have nothing relevant to add to the thread.

Have a nice evening.

Some peoples opinions are much more relevant than others

Everyone would like to see Joe putting in world class performances on a regular basis. The fact is that Joe had to be dropped last season to keep us in the title race. Joe did well on return (particularly vs Everton) but over the season he was mediocre - at best.

sounds like you want a hollywood keeper who does a spectacular save every match when he just needs to not make blatant mistakes so often which is what he has been doing since his return, run of the mill saves is where its at,get the world class saves out of your head,it's not reality

All keepers are punching instead of catching lately

It was Baines' amateur defending in moving off the post twice that led to Hart scooping those corners off the line. No one expected those corners to come in like that, but for fuck sake there is a reason you have a man on the post and at least one defender stood on the edge of the 6 yard box near post.

Joe's positioning was based on the trash that was playing in front of him, he was constantly covering more exposed areas of his goal because from wing play, Jagielka and Cahill were, in a positional sense of the word, nowhere and for City especially of late, I don't think it's hardly applicable. And when did the rest of the howlers come from with his punching instead of catching? I can't remember a goal conceded from these apparent howlers. More myth building.

You should know by now, everything is Harts fault. Global warming, Isis, the recession, foot & mouth, the rise of UKIP, the lot. Advert making, double golden gloves, double title winning,England's No 1 type bastard. He's a very naughty boy and he should hang his head in shame.
