It was Baines' amateur defending in moving off the post twice that led to Hart scooping those corners off the line. No one expected those corners to come in like that, but for fuck sake there is a reason you have a man on the post and at least one defender stood on the edge of the 6 yard box near post.

Joe's positioning was based on the trash that was playing in front of him, he was constantly covering more exposed areas of his goal because from wing play, Jagielka and Cahill were, in a positional sense of the word, nowhere and for City especially of late, I don't think it's hardly applicable. And when did the rest of the howlers come from with his punching instead of catching? I can't remember a goal conceded from these apparent howlers. More myth building.

You should know by now, everything is Harts fault. Global warming, Isis, the recession, foot & mouth, the rise of UKIP, the lot. Advert making, double golden gloves, double title winning,England's No 1 type bastard. He's a very naughty boy and he should hang his head in shame.
Treble Golden Gloves ;)
But yeah, if he didn't wash his hair he could train even more the shit ****.

And whats with all this sleep bullshit? That's 8 hours he should be practicing his kicking. I'll have you know Neuer practices 24 hours a day and has never conceded a goal in his life.

Some peoples opinions are much more relevant than others

Everyone would like to see Joe putting in world class performances on a regular basis. The fact is that Joe had to be dropped last season to keep us in the title race. Joe did well on return (particularly vs Everton) but over the season he was mediocre - at best.

sounds like you want a hollywood keeper who does a spectacular save every match when he just needs to not make blatant mistakes so often which is what he has been doing since his return, run of the mill saves is where its at,get the world class saves out of your head,it's not reality

Oh yes. I am dreaming of Sly Stallone between our posts in his Escape to Victory kit!

I just expect our keeper to be as good (Relatively speaking) as our outfield players. Joe was two or three years ago.

And for all his shit performances, he only conceded 29 league goals in 31 games.

He had a dip in form, had he not, he would have looked at another outstanding season and another pair of golden gloves.

It's not the number of goals but his performances. You can't say that he had a great season last year, or the year before can you? We aren't going to give up a lot of goals because we dominate possession and we score a lot of goals killing many games before they are even started making his job very easy. What's concerning is his goals vs shot ratio. It's not very good. many of the goals he gave up were pretty weak. It's kind of like the argument many make about Giroud. He's scored "X" amount of goals so he's good. But when you take into account he's their only striker and isn't sharing time like most other strikers, that he doesn't score vs the top 7 clubs and the amount of chances he wastes to get a goal IMO proves differently.

If Joes's average performance next season is as good as Ben Foster played yesterday, we will win the league again.

Hart is City's number 1.

Hart needs more consecutive league clean sheets - a settled backline at City will help there.

Okay Hart has had 256 games in all competitions (and a fair whack of them in an underdeveloped or developing City squad era)

Hart's 103 cleansheets are pretty consistent though... (Premier League below, only)

2006-07 1 cleansheet from 1 game
2007-08 7 cleansheets from 26 games
2008-09 6 cleansheets from 23 games
**2009/10 - 10 cleansheets at Birmingham from 36 games**
2010–11 18 cleansheets from 38 games PREMIER LEAGUE GOLDEN GLOVE
2011–12 17 cleansheets from 38 games PREMIER LEAGUE GOLDEN GLOVE
2012–13 18 cleansheets from 38 games PREMIER LEAGUE GOLDEN GLOVE
2013-14 13 cleansheets from 31 games (3 behind joint winners Petr Cech/Mark Schwarzer)

Only three followed this though!

92 league cleansheets in the topflight from 231 top flight games isn't bad. He'll soon knock on club 100.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Premier_League_goalkeepers_with_100_or_more_clean_sheets

Across 18 years David James has managed to top the club 100 cleansheet table, I think Hart will surpass this and improve year on year...

I don't understand why people worry so much about the keeper, who ultimately is the final line after the backline/midfield and forwards fail to clear their lines.
