Joe Hart - First Goal ???

Joe was superb the year we won the title. He's had a rough one this year, but even that includes an excellent stretch after he was recalled up until the Liverpool game. Plus I think he loves being a Blue. I would definitely give him a couple more years.

Gone in the Summer imo. Not good enough these days, a shadow of the player he was two years ago.
The leader of the "Mancini Out" brigade within the dressing room (sorry I won't reveal my source
within the club). Always eager to shift the blame on to others, eg Nastastic at Chelsea, when he has blundered.
His main positive is that he is homegrown but I doubt that will save him.

When he's on form Joe is an OK Prem keeper ,no more no less. He's actually got better in the air since he returned after being dropped.
Pants didn't take his chance when Joe was out.
As for Joe's two recent 'foxes paws' against the Dippers and Mackems, the likes of Mignulet, Krul, Lloris all make mistakes and have their own weaknesses if you watch them long enough.
The point is there is a limited amount of money we can spend in the window and a new goalkeeper IMO is not a priority. Also Joe is one one of our dwindling number of 'home grown' players.

Excellent point. He has been disappointing at some points during this season, but improving his position is not and should not be a priority for this season. We have other positions that need to be addressed and we all know what these positions are!!!

Most keepers if not all come into their prime aged 29+ years.

Joe's a way off that age.

Now signing a good old un to

a) help him by passing on his experience, and
b) to allow Joe to be taken out of the firing line from time to time to keep him fresh and focused.

I wouldn't have a problem with that.

I like Joe, I want him to succeed, unfortunately the nature of the Beast with Keepers is that when they make a mistake it always results in a goal conceded.

In the summer the squad needs tweaking, with the introduction of two or three quality signings to replace those that are leaving.

IMO major surgery is not needed.

But it ain't down to me so what will be will be.

I think he has big ego and he woudnt accept someone coming in making him play lot less.

He did not throw fire at Pelle for making him a sub for like what a month, 5-6 weeks behind Panti, but I remember when he was lot younger and Mancini put trust in him vs Given he said that if he isnt startin league games for City he goes out on loan instead of bench. And thats was he only had a good season at Birmingham on loan.

Lot depends on the WC, will he have a great WC, or cost England big time sometimes like with City.

Could that be because you don't have one and are just another attention seeker ?
